I'm sure I've mentioned before that we are thinking about someday buying some new furniture. I'm also sure that I've mentioned how indecisive we are about big purchases, so I imagine it'll be quite some time before we pull the trigger on this one.

But, in lieu of actually buying anything, and in hopes of helping us make some decisions that might lead us in the direction of someday making a confident purchase, I've been goofing around with some online floor planning sites.

I'm not sure exactly where we will buy our furniture from, but I have to say, I've been a big fan of the 3D room planner on the La Z Boy website. It took me a few minutes to get our room all measured out and  an accurate floor plan constructed- but now that it's done, it's done. I was able to save the floor plan so I can go back and move furniture around as often as I want.


This is just one of a million different room configurations that I've been playing around with. The sectional and chairs here are actual products from La Z Boy, so they are true to size in my floor plan and I can visualize how the pieces would actually fit into my space.

If nothing else, this has been a fun way to spend a few hours on the couch while my family fights the flu. And for now it has saved us the trouble of physically  moving our furniture around AGAIN in an attempt to visualize a new configuration.
